How to distinguish the quality of bathroom faucets

1. Electroplating treatment on the surface of the faucet
The electroplating treatment on the surface of the faucet plays a great role in the appearance and anti-corrosion performance of the faucet. The national standard is that the salt spray test reaches level 8 within 24 hours, the nickel layer is ≥5um, and the chromium layer is ≥0.1um. There is a simple way to see whether the electroplating is good or bad: see if there are pores or rough places on the surface, and whether the feel is thick and smooth. Take a breath, whether it can dissipate quickly.

2. The valve core and water outlet of the faucet
The ceramic valve core is already a faucet at present, which is mainly divided into split type, integrated type and energy-saving type. There is no rubber sealing ring inside the one-piece, so there will be no water leakage due to rubber aging, and the force is consistent and the operation is smooth. The energy-saving type is divided into two levels, and the water output of the first level is 50%. When purchasing a faucet, lift it up and turn the handle left and right several times to see if it is smooth or not is a criterion for judging.

3. The raw materials, weight and precipitation of heavy metals of the faucet
The raw materials used for faucets generally include zinc alloy, miscellaneous copper, pure copper, copper alloy, and copper-nickel mixed materials. The cost of zinc alloy material is low, and the cost of copper-nickel mixed material is high. There is a big gap in the middle, and in the case of the same material, the heavier the higher the cost. In addition, the national standards have standards for the precipitation of 17 heavy metals in faucets. Most of the market is concerned about the lead content. Many publicize lead-free faucets, such as stainless steel faucets. Although they do not contain lead, they contain other heavy metals.
